TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions apply to all clients booking services with Islander
By making a booking, the client agrees to these Terms and Conditions in full.
1. BOOKINGS & PAYMENT
All bookings are confirmed only upon full payment.
No reservation is held without payment.
Prices are quoted in SCR or EUR unless otherwise stated.
Ticket is non-transferable
All trips are bookable one-way with an allowance of 7kg handbag
Land transfer is not included
2. CHILD CLAUSE
Children under 2 years travel free of charge, provided they are seated on a parent’s lap.
Children aged 2 to 11.99 years are charged 50% of the adult rate.
Children aged 12 years and above are charged the full adult rate.
3. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
Cancellation by Client:
Cancellations made more than 72 hours before departure are eligible for a full refund, less any bank or transaction charges.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of departure are non-refundable.
Failure to show up is considered a cancellation and is non-refundable.
Cancellation by Islander Team:
In the event of unsafe weather, mechanical failure, or force majeure, the client will be offered:
A rescheduled trip OR
A full refund.
4. DEPARTURE TIME & NO-SHOW POLICY
The vessel will depart strictly at the scheduled time.
Boarding starts 30 minutes prior to departure
Please carry your ID, passport / GOP
Clients who arrive late will be left behind.
No refund will be issued for late arrival or no-show.
The client will be responsible for arranging and paying for any alternative transport if they miss the departure.
5. WEATHER & SEA CONDITIONS
All trips are subject to weather and sea conditions.
The Captain reserves the right to cancel or modify the trip for safety reasons.
No compensation other than refund will apply for weather-related cancellations.
6. SAFETY
Passengers must follow all safety instructions given by the Captain and crew.
Life jackets must be worn when instructed.
Children must be under adult supervision at all times.
Islander reserves the right to deny boarding to anyone deemed unsafe to travel.
7. LIABILITY
The Company shall not be liable for injury, loss, delay, or damage outside its control.
Liability is limited to the value of the charter paid.
The company shall not be liable for loss or damage occurred in regards to changes and cancellation of departure of vessels in cases of emergency but not limited to:
Force majeure / Acts of God
Collision
Change of Route
Fire
Explosion
8. PASSENGER RESPONSIBILITY
The Company disclaims any responsibility for lost or damaged personal belongings of passengers.
Clients shall be held accountable for any damage to the vessel during the charter.
The possession of illegal substances is strictly prohibited aboard the vessel.
The Captain reserves the right to terminate the trip without refund for any behavior deemed unsafe by the passengers.
Smoking is not permitted on board the vessel.
9. DAMAGES
Damages caused by clients will be charged accordingly.
10. USAGE OF FREE STOP ON LA DIGUE & PRASLIN
All scheduled one-way trips shall be routed through La Digue Island, allowing for a 15-minute disembarkation.
Following this stop, the vessel will proceed to Praslin Island at no additional charge, where it will remain for the duration of the day.
The return one-way trip to Mahe Island will be initiated from Praslin Island, also featuring a stopover at La Digue Island at no extra charge, which will include a 15-minute period for embarkation and disembarkation.
Passengers are encouraged to adhere to the schedule to facilitate timely departures and arrivals. Any alterations to the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances will be communicated promptly.
Departure Schedule & Timings:
• 0830hrs: Departure from Mahe to La Digue.
• 1000hrs: Arrival at La Digue.
• 1015hrs: Departure from La Digue to Praslin.
• 1030hrs: Arrival at Praslin.
• 1600hrs: Departure from Praslin to La Digue.
• 1615hrs: Arrival at La Digue.
• 1630hrs: Departure from La Digue back to Praslin.
• 1800hrs: Arrival at Mahe
